EMDAD LLC unveiled an offshore Jack-up rig model (ND35) representing the vessel currently being built for National Drilling Company, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. Emdad won the Dhs 352 million contract in October 2003 on behalf of its partner-principal Keppel Fels Offshore and Marine. The rig, seen in the picture, is currently being built at Keppel's manufacturing yard in Singapore and will be delivered on schedule in the last quarter of 2005.
Commemorating the first order to be placed by NDC for an offshore Jack-up rig, and marking its own involvement in this milestone through its sponsorship of KEPPEL FELS, EMDAD handed over this model to the General Manager NDC, in a ceremony held on the concluding day of the ADIPEC 2004 event. The model will be on display at NDC headquarters.
