The Qasr Al Sarab Five-Star retreat being built by Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), the leading tourism asset developer in Abu Dhabi, is now rising out of the desert in the Emirate’s Liwa area of the renowned Empty Quarter (Rub Al Khali).
This is to be managed by the award-winning Thai hospitality operator Anantara Resorts & Spas. Qasr Al Sarab will be a showpiece of TDIC’s expanding development portfolio and a key element in widening Abu Dhabi’s business and leisure tourism offerings.
Qasr Al Sarab will have a five star hotel with 140 Guest Rooms, 10 Royal Pavilion Villas, 42 Villas & a banqueting & meeting facilities for 150 people, a luxury health spa, conference centre, adjoining excursion and tented villages, a children’s playground.
Telematics has been awarded the job as the ELV System Integrators and Project Managers for the supply, installation and commissioning of Structured Cabling System, Data Networking System, PABX, Fire Alarm System, Building Management System, Central Emergency Lighting, CCTV, Access Control, Audio Visual System, Guest Room Management System, Dimming and Lighting control, High Speed Internet Access, IP Television System, Key Management System along with Security Management Software.
With exception to life and safety system, all the other systems shall be integrated on a single IP Network using a fiber based infrastructure.
This is a fast-track project and the project deadline is on September 2009. Telematics has mobilized its staff within 10 days from the awarding of project on December 2008 and as of February 2009, it has completed 25% of the infrastructure work. Commissioning of the ELV System is scheduled to commence on August 2009.
